The retreats are where we gather people together. This is the other half of what we do, and it is one to one.

A private commission

The whole of it, made to measure. Designed around you and you alone: every door, every table, every night of it considered. It might be an ancestral parish and the archive that holds your family's records. It might be three counties and a very particular interest. We begin with a conversation and build from a blank page. Price on application.

A curated itinerary

A plan of your own, for people who would rather travel under their own steam. Our knowledge of a place set down for you to follow at your own pace: where to go, when, and why, down to the room number and the bookshop that closes at four. A short brief from you, a considered itinerary from us.

Or add days either side of a retreat

Any retreat can be extended with a bespoke trip or a curated itinerary, before it or after it.

Some want three days in London first, or the Highlands afterwards, or the one village their grandmother talked about. Some simply want a slow couple of nights somewhere good to get over the flight before the week begins. Whatever it is, you deal with us throughout, never an agent.

Just tell us when you book, or any time up to a month before you travel, and we will build it around the week you have already chosen.
